It was my love for fashion, beauty and people that drove me to decide to train as a freelance makeup artist and fashion stylist. At the age of 17 I began training to become a licensed esthetician, discovering my love for the art of makeup. I started testing with local photographers and models to see how my makeovers showed up on camera. Hair styling for photo shoots came with the job as the style needed to be suitable for the overall concept of the shoot. After working for free for several years doing makeup artistry
(combining natural artistic talent with tools), hair styling (creating period looks, celebrity styles, experienced with hair pieces) and wardrobe styling (expressing an image through clothing, props and accessories), I decided to become freelance and offer my services to individuals,companies and productions. Makeup By Jackie first started with personal referrals from models and photographers saying, "get your makeup done by Jackie".

It is my pleasure to enhance a women's natural beauty, focusing on their best features. It takes experience and creative talent to know exactly how your makeup will appear in a photograph or video production. My experience and training, along with my enthusiastic personality provides my clients with a dependable, detail-oriented, multi-faceted professional to add to the success of any project, within their production budget and schedule.
