BEAUTY ADVICE
The most important thing about choosing a foundation is being able to test
it on your skin to see how it looks. Sometimes you waste alot of money
buying inexpensive foundations at a drugstore that you cannot actually test.
You can purchase foundations at a drugstore if there are testers. Just make
sure you look for yellow toned foundation. I believe that it's the
most natural tone that works with everybody's skin.

A good cream concealer is worth its weight in gold. If it is good quality and does not crease then it can usually double as a shadow base. And on the days you don't wear eyeshadow, wear it on your lids anyway. It will help you look more awake and bright eyed.

Make-up Sponges are essential for flawless foundation application. They are used to press the color pigment into the skin and seal in the product. I use these latex triangle sponges to blend in pretty much every product I use including eyebrows and lipliner.

Brush and fill in eyebrows if needed with a shade that's one or two shades lighter than your eyebrow hairs. Too dark and you can start looking harsh.

Applying your makeup is nothing more than manipulating the shadows and highlight on the face. This is a great reason to use a highlighter. The highlighter is used to bring an area forward that creates a shadow you do not want (i.e. dark circles under the eyes or laugh lines and wrinkles). Also, by adding shadows at strategic places on your face you can enhance the dimensionality of your face (i.e. alleviating puffy lids).

INSTANT FACELIFT
A common problem that ladies have (and gets worse as we mature) is the dreaded sagging and/or "hooded" eye. This is so easy to fix with proper makeup that it makes me want to set up a table in the plastic surgeon's office. Here is a trick for you to try at home with your own products. Contact me for personal instruction on how to perfect this technique and advice on buying the proper products and tools. Here is how to

Take Ten Years Off Your Face:

1) Sweep a white shadow on lids and brow bone.

2) Pull eyebrow up from arch to apply a taupe shadow in the crease; when you let go of the brow, the crease falls in a higher place and acts like a mini eyelid lift.

A tip on buying products. Anything that is a powder and has a pigment(color) should NOT be purchased at a drugstore. I know it looks nice and the price is so good but truth is that stuff is a rip-off when it comes to proper product to paint your face. The reason is pigment. Color pigment is expensive, so massly produced products/drugstore products will use the lowest amount of pigment possible to save on costs. Worse, they fill the product up with fillers so it makes it look like you are getting more for your dollar. Wearing these cosmetics that consist of mostly fillers causes allergic reactions and acne. On the other hand, professional products have a high color pigment load, some companies (like the ones I recommend and sell) will max out the pigment level so that the color is very strong and that means that you don't need to use as much and you won't require touch ups.

Most Important Beauty Tip: Beauty is a light in the heart.
